NOTORIOUS ROBBER/SNATCHER/AUTO LIFTER NABBED

With the arrest of Sunil Kumar @ Edal S/o Haakam Singh, R/o H.No.1118, Gali No.3, Sangam Vihar, New Delhi age about 25 years, Special Staff of New Delhi District has solved several cases of snatching/ MV Theft in New Delhi & South-East Distt., Delhi.

On 26/08/10, a Police team of Special Staff, New Delhi Distt. comprising of SI Ajab Singh, ASI Narender Singh, HC Vijay Singh, No1003/ND HC Subhash Chand, No.81/ND, HC Parmod Kumar, No.2063/ND, HC Raghubir Singh, No.1238, HC Satish Chand, No.284/ND, Ct. Satender Singh, No.869/ND, Ct. Naveen Kumar, No.999/ND & Ct. Shispal Singh, 1247ND under the close supervision of Inspr. Arun Kumar, I/c Special Staff, New Delhi Distt. apprehended. Sunil Kumar @ Edal near Q-Point, Khan Market Road, New Delhi, while he was riding in a silver colour Motor cycle. He was signaled by Police team to stop for checking, but he tried to escape. He was overpowered by the Police Team. He was thoroughly interrogated, which revealed that Motorcycle being used by him was stolen vide case FIR No. 187/10 P.S. Lajpat Nagar, Delhi. He had put fake No. plate over said M/cycle. During the course of interrogation a country made Pistol & 4 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. A mobile phone snatched vide case FIR No. 98/10 U/s 379/356/34 IPC Police Station Chanakya Puri was recovered from his possession. He was arrested vide FIR No. 108/10, dated 26/08/10 U/s 25/54/59 A. Act & 411/482 IPC, P.S. Tughlak Road, New Delhi. Further during the course of interrogation he confessed that he alongwith his brother in –law Dalip have committed more than 30 snatching/robberies during last 3 months from various part of Delhi. At his instance mobile phones, ladies bag have been recovered from his rented room located at Begam Pur, Malviya Nagar, Delhi.

MODUS OPERANDI:

Accused Sunil Kumar @ Edal alongwith his brother-in-law Dalip are strong by built. They use stolen Motor Cycle with fake number plate in snatching. Mainly they targeted women carrying handbag and cell phone. Sunil Kumar @ Edal always equip with Pistol to use the same, in case where anyone create hindrance in the execution of crime. After committing crime, they used to drive the Motor Cycle at break neck speed.

PROFILE OF CRIMINAL:

Accused Sunil Kumar @ Edal is illiterate. He belongs to SANSI community of Rajasthan. Earlier he used to supply country made liquor in the area of Sangam Vihar, Delhi. But his ambitions were very high, for which he alongwith his brother-in-law adopted snatching/robberies crime in filmy style. During the year 2009 he alongwith his brother-in-law Dalip was arrested in two robbery/Dacoity cases registered at Faridabad/Ballabhgarh, Haryana. He was also arrested twice in Excise case.

Auto lifter arrested
The Police of PS Shakarpur has arrested one Auto
Lifter namely Sangeet Sharma s/o Jagdeesh Sharma R/o H.No. 281, Gali
No. 7, Village Karhera, near Airforce Station, Sahibabd, Ghaziabad,
U.P. aged 30 years, and have recovered four stolen vehicles from him.
To curb motor vehicle thefts in the area of PS Shakarpur, a team
comprising of SI Arun Kumar, HC Sanjay & Ct. Vikas, under the
supervision of Inspr. Ravinder Sharma, SHO/Shakarpur was constituted
by Shri Ramesh Chander, ACP/Preet Vihar and sources were deployed to
collect the intelligence.
INCIDENT
On 23.08.2010 at 5.15 pm, on a tip off to HC
Sanjay, No. 1848/E, Sangeet was apprehended by a police team
comprising of SI Arun Kumar, HC Sanjay & Ct. Vikas, under the
supervision of Inspr. Ravinder Sharma, SHO/Shakarpur in front of
Lakshmi Nagar, Metro Station, Vikas Marg while he was found in
possession of a Mahindra Scorpio No. DL-09CQ-4242 reportedly stolen
vide case FIR No. 282/2010, u/s 379 IPC, PS Vasant Kunj, North. He
was thoroughly interrogated and three more vehicles were recovered at
his instance which were stolen from different Police stations of
Delhi.

PROFILE
Sangeet was born in Modinagar, District Ghaziabad,
UP and his father is a farmer. He studied up to intermediate class at

BRUTAL MURDER OF A CHILD SOLVED : ONE ARRESTED
With the arrest of Prakash @ Kalu aged about 30 years s/o Sukhraj
r/o Baljeet Nagar, Delhi, the staff of Central District, Delhi has
solved the murder mystery of a child aged 4 years.
INCIDENT AND TEAM
One Smt. Sushila w/o Shri Amar Bahadur r/o Baljeet, Nagar, Delhi
reported that on 16.08.10, she was offered a Frooti by her neighbor
Prakash at about 12’O clock noon which she and her son drank. After
this she went unconscious. She regained consciousness at about 8 PM
when the tenant Sajjan Pal Singh living on the 2nd floor sprinkled
water on her face, it was then the frantic search of her daughter
Sunaina aged 4 years started. On seeing kitchen locked and the keys
lying on the staircase, it was opened and the blood stained body of
Sunaina having sharp injuries on her throat was recovered.
Consequently, a case vide FIR No. 181/10 u/s 302/328 IPC was
registered at Police Station Nabi Karim and investigation was taken
up.
TEAM & INVESTIGATION
A joint team comprising of (1) Inspr. Satender Mohan I/C Special
Staff, SI Yogender, ASI Dharmender, Ct. Rakesh, Ct. Adesh and (2)
Inspr. Pawa Singh Rana SHO/Patel Nagar, ASI Rameshwar, HC Jaipal and
Ct. Dharamvir under the supervision of Ms. Anita Roy, ACP/Patel Nagar,
Delhi was constituted.
There was strong suspicion that complainant’s neighbour Prakash @
Kalu was involved in the murder of the child and he was found
absconding since the day of incident. During investigation, it was
revealed that Prakash along with his family was residing in the
neighbourhood of complainant since last one & half year. Raids were
conducted at his possible hideouts but he was found absconding.
Further, modes of scientific investigation were used and it was learnt
that he had left Delhi and gone to Chennai by air. A police team was
immediately dispatched to Chennai by air but in the meanwhile, he
boarded to Delhi. However, he did not reach Delhi and got down
somewhere on the way. The police team kept on tracing his locations
through electronic surveillance. His locations were traced in Jaipur
and when the police team went there, he fled from there. However, due
to constant surveillance, he was finally arrested from Shadipur Depot.
INTERROGATION
He was subjected to sustained interrogation and it was revealed that
his main motive was to commit theft in the house of complainant. On
the day of incident, he administered drug laced Frooti to the
complainant and her son aged 2 years. While, he was committing theft
in the house, complainant’s daughter Sunaina aged 4 years returned
home from school and cried on seeing her mother and brother
unconscious on the floor. Accused Prakash came under stress and for
fear of being caught red handed, he took the girl in the kitchen and
slit her throat with a knife. Thereafter, he fled away after
committing theft of cash Rs. 8000/-, a gold chain and a silver anklet.

Accused Prakash @ Kalu aged about 30 years s/o Sukhraj r/o Baljeet
Nagar, Delhi has studied upto 8th standard. About four years ago, he
got married with a South Indian girl Sandhya due to which his family
ceased all relations with him. He was residing in a rented house in
the neighbourhood of the complainant. He worked as a painter but
since last six months, he was unemployed and he was in dire need of
money. So he committed theft in the house of the complainant.
