AW139 Part 147 B1 Type Rating

This training course is going to cover the Agusta AW139 Helicopter that comes fitted with PWC PT6-67C engine. It involves an indepth theoretical study of AW 139 Helicopter which is aimed to provide the student with an understanding of its aircraft systems, component replacement procedures, their various operations and maintenance as well as the use of manufacturer approved technical data for helping them in carrying out all maintenance tasks safely. The course of training deals with electrical and mechanical aspects for the B1 licensing requirements.

This training module has been duly approved by the EASA for issue of Engineers type rating as mentioned in the EASA Part 66.

This syllabus needs to be read in associaton with the companion syllabus that is described in the Part 5.4 “Syllabus for PWC PT6C-67 B1 Maintenance Type training” of this Exposition.

PWC PT6-67 Part 147 B1Type Rating

This is a course curriculum of practical training that focuses on Agusta AW139 Helicopter that is fitted with PWC PT6C-67C engine.

It is designed for addressing the various practical training aspects for Agusta AW 139 Helicopter as mentioned in the EASA Part 66 Appendix III.3.2 “Practical Elements”. It also has a representative cross-section of maintenance activities.

This training course has been approved by the EASA for issue of Engineers type rating as mentioned in EASA Part 66.A.45 “Endorsement with Aircraft Ratings”.

AGUSTA AW139 (PT6) B1 MAINTENANCE TYPE TRAINING (Practical)

This is a course curriculum of practical training that pertains to Agusta AW139 Helicopter with PWC PT6C-67C engine.

It is designed to focus on the various practical training elements associated with Agusta AW 139 Helicopter that are described in the EASA Part 66 Appendix III.3.2 "Practical Elements" and also has a representative cross-section of maintenance activities.

Engineering Induction

This training course deals with the induction of new working staff within the Engineering Department of the Gulf Helicopters Company. The course provides a student with the necessary information guidance as well as direction to the new staff in relation to operations of Engineering Department and also obligations and regulatory requirements for both Engineering Department and individual staff member for ensuring a stress free induction for the new staff.

Aviation Legislation Continuation

This training course is designed for meeting the regulatory requirements for the continuation of training necessary for aircraft maintenance engineering staff.

The program covers regulatory regulations as well as other documents published by regulatory authorities and maintenance organizations, such as operational procedures, expositions and other manuals.

HUMS Refresher (AW139)

Independent Inspection for Pilots

Number of Days: 1 Day (4 hours minimum classroom contact time and a session of Practical Training and Assessment)

This training course is designed for meeting the regulatory requirements as well as the organizational requirements for carrying out the second part of the Engineering Independent Inspection process as described in Gulf Helicopters Company, Maintenance Organization Part 145 Exposition. The course covers the purposes, requirements and processes that are required for conducting an Independent Inspection by the Pilot. It is a generic training course and does not address the technical aspects of specific aircraft types.

Human Factors for Support Staff

The main role of this subject is to take into account human factors that can affect the outcomes of working in high risk environments. The training is going to cover various current issues from the Gulf Helicopters Company Maintenance Occurrence Reporting and Maintenance Error Management systems. It is also going to feature Service Bulletins from relevant manufacturers and other important service information. Critical pertinent information gathered from the regulatory authorities is also going to be discussed here.

The continuation training module is going to be a flexible one and the technical areas that are going to be discussed will focus on the current requirements of Gulf Helicopters Engineering.

Effective Communication Skills

This training course is designed to help students clearly define and learn the Methods of Communication, Communication Process and the Essence of Communication. It also provides the student with an overview about the different types of Communication Barriers, causes and factors of Communication Failures and Senders Responsibilities. The course will teach a student to be assertive, listen effectively, identify nonverbal communication and focus on the essentials of communication (such as do’s & don’ts), email etiquette and telephone etiquette. The student will also be provided with one communication tool kit which in turn will help him/her to be an effective communicator.

Borescope Kit Operation Training
