Founders Day Nomination Letter

Dear POBMS PTA Members:

What is Founders Day?

Founders Day is a reminder of the substantial role that PTA has played locally, regionally, and nationally in supporting parent involvement and working on behalf of all children and families. It is a time to reflect and take pride in our many accomplishments, and to renew our commitment to be a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for parents, and a strong advocate for public education. POBMS PTA, as well as the other PTA’s in our district, use this as an opportunity to recognize individuals for their distinguished service to the children of Plainview-Old Bethpage. They are individuals who exemplify the mission and beliefs of PTA.

We need your help in choosing our Founders Day recipients for the 2017/2018-school year. Please take a moment to nominate a staff member and/or a parent who you think should be honored with this award. Each nominee will be presented to our Founders Day Committee. This committee will meet and make a final decision based on your nominations. The recipients will be honored at our district dinner event on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

Please fill out the application on the back of this form and return it to school in an envelope marked to the attention of “Frann Rappaport–Founders Day Committee.”

Complete form and place in an envelope addressed to the “Frann Rappaport - Founders Day Chairperson”. Please return envelope to your schools PTA mailbox no later than November 8, 2017. You may also email your nomination to no later than November 8, 2017.

The nomination that you write will be the only information that some of the people in the room will hear about your nominee. Please fill in all the blanks so the voters can get the best image of the person you are nominating.
