Last day of 3rd Quarter, looking forward to a focused finish for Freshmen!

Week in Review March 16-20

Students developed their armatures for the ceramic busts, or they completed and glazed their Grecian urns and turned in project critique forms. It was a wrap up week for some with portrait work transferring to ceramic bust proportions and characteristics. Sketchbooks were turned in and the turn in rate was high, quality still needs some work. 15 min a day with dates and times recorded is the expectation for each sketchbook. Impressed with those who are using the sketchbook to develop ideas for coursework or to consider themes in areas we are not doing coursework, two great ways to use the sketchbook to help yourself.

GRADES ENTERED for SCULPTURE TEST, GRECIAN URNS, and SKETCHBOOKS this week.

I tried to enter all late work as well so that the progress reports will most accurately reflect progress up until today. If there are errors let me know, and YES I ACCEPT LATE WORK. Thanks

Looking Ahead: FIELD TRIP Tacoma Art Museum

Students will create, produce and respond to a detailed, painted piece April 24! WE will leave campus at 9:00 am and return by 1:45 pm. Sack lunches and walking shoes are required.

Thank you for returning field trip forms and for those who volunteered to chaperone. We need one adult for every 10 students to attend the museum (museum rules), please let me know if you are interested. STILL NEED CHAPERONES AND FIELD TRIP FORMS :)
