Driving Directions to the NCTA MN Hiking Celebration
At Duluth, MN
August 21-23, 2014
To Spirit Mt. Skyline (upper) Chalet, Villas and Spirit Mt. Campground
From Twin Cities:Take I-35 North to Exit #249 (just 5 minutes south of downtown Duluth). Take a right at the top of the off-ramp and follow the frontage road around past McDonalds, the gas station, and the hotel. From there you’ll see the signs to follow to the parking lots.
From ND and MN on Hwy 200 and Hwy 2: Follow Hwy 2 east through Proctor, angling right onto Boundary Ave. at the far edge of Proctor. Follow Boundary Ave. around until you take a right on Skyline Parkway. Follow this around to Spirit Mountain’s signs.
From Iron Range: Take Hwy 53 South to Midway Rd (Co. 13). Take a Right on Midway Road.Go about 5 miles and take a Left on Hwy 2. Take a slight Right onto Boundary Avenue. Follow Boundary Avenue around until you take a Right on Skyline Parkway. Follow this around to Spirit Mountain’s signs.
From North Shore:Take Hwy 61 South Follow I-into Duluth, which becomes London Road. At 21st Avenue East, turn Left onto I-35 Southto Exit #249 and Boundary Ave (just 5 minutes south of downtown Duluth). Take a Left at the top of the off-ramp and follow the frontage road around past McDonalds, the gas station, and the hotel. From there you’ll see the signs to follow to the parking lots.
From WI and Other Points East:Drive toward Superior, WI following State Hwy 53 or 2. These join near Superior and then split in Superior. Since the Hwy 2 Bridge is closed, follow Hwy 53 as it combines with I-535 taking you into Duluth, MN. Exit I-535 onto I-35 South. Go south on I-35 about three miles to Exit #249 and Boundary Ave (just 5 minutes south of downtown Duluth). Take a Left at the top of the off-ramp and follow the frontage road around past McDonalds, the gas station, and the hotel. From there you’ll see the signs to follow to the parking lots.
From Indian PointCampground:Follow Pulaski St. to Grand Avenue, turning Right onto Grand. Turn Left onto 59th Ave W and follow to Cody St. There turn Left following Cody as it merges onto I-35 South. Follow I-35 S to exit 249 and Boundary Ave. Turn Left at the top of the off ramp and follow the frontage road around past McDonalds, the gas station, and the hotel. From there you’ll see the signs to follow to the parking lots.
To the Spirit Mt. Grand Avenue (lower) Chalet:
From the Twin Cities:Take I-35 North, exiting onto the Cody Street Exit. The exit will become Cody Street. Take a Right on 59th Avenue West. Turn Right at the stoplights on Grand Avenue. FollowGrand Avenue until you come to the Spirit Mountain sign on your right-hand side, there turning right.
From ND and MN on Hwy 200 and Hwy 2: From Hwy 2 merge onto I-35 North. Very soon, take the Cody St. Exit which becomes Cody .Take a right on 59th Avenue West. Turn right at the stoplights at Grand Avenue. Follow Grand Avenue until you come to the Spirit Mountain and Riverside Bar and Grill signs on your right-hand side, there turning right.
From the Iron Range: Take Hwy 53 South to Midway Rd.(Co. 13). Take a Right on Midway Road, and in about 5 miles take a Left on Hwy 2. Take a Right onto Boundary Avenue. Follow Boundary Ave to I-35. From the North Shore:Take Hwy 61 South into Duluth, which becomes London Road. At 21st Avenue East, turn Left onto I-35 South. Follow I-35 seven plus toexit 251B (Grand Ave and Hwy 23) and merge onto Grand Ave and continue about 2 milesto signs for Spirit Mt. and the Riverside Bar and Grill at the entrance on the right.

From Indian Point Campground:Follow Pulaski St. to Grand Avenue, turning Left there. Follow Grand Ave approximately one mile to signs to Spirit Mt. and the Riverside Bar and Grill, there turning right.
To Indian Point Campground:

From Spirit Mt. Skyline Chalet:Follow the frontage road around back to I-35 and head North towards Duluth. Continue on I-35 until the Cody Street Exit. The exit will merge into Cody Street. Take a Right on 59th Avenue West. Turn Right at the stoplights at Grand Avenue. FollowGrand Avenue one plus miles, turning Left immediately past the Munger Inn, onto Pulaski St. Drive straight ahead into the campground.
From the Grand Chalet:Turn Left onto Grand Avenue and follow until turning Right on Pulaski St. Follow Pulaski St. into the campground.
Driving Between the Spirit Mt. Skyline (upper) and the Grand (lower) Chalets:
From Skyline Chalet, Villas and Spirit Mt. Campground to the Grand Chalet: Follow the frontage road around back to I-35 and head North towards Duluth. Continue on I-35 until the Cody Street Exit. The exit will merge into Cody Street. Take a Right on 59th Avenue West. Turn Right at the stoplights at Grand Avenue. FollowGrand Avenue until you come to the Spirit Mountain and Riverside Bar and Grill signs on your right-hand side, there turning right. Approximately 11 minutes.
From GRAND Chalet to SKYLINE Chalet, Villas and Spirit Mt. Campground: Exit parking lot and take a Left on Grand Avenue. Take a Left at the stoplight on 59th Avenue West. Take a Left on Cody Street. Cody Street will merge into I-35. Continue on I-35 until Exit #249. Take a Left at the top of the Exit Ramp and follow the frontage road around past McDonalds, the gas station, and the hotel. From there you’ll see the signs to follow to the parking lots. Approximately 11 minutes.
