Slim pot for more profit

Lohne, October 2010 - A plant pot is a plant pot, … wrong! Pöppelmann's new TEKU plant pot series VCG and VCH are the ultimate High Tech products for automated plant production. "We start with the 10.5 cm pot and are pleased to offer our customers, the progressive growers, real added value in many respects, with this ultra modern plant pot series", says Pieter van Staalduine enthusiastically.

As the TEKU Sales Representative I simply enjoy presenting a new product, which is so targeted to the needs and wishes of the grower."

The most important change to the new series is the wider rim. This ensures that the plant pots run much safer in all pot dispensers. The now significantly wider and u-shaped rim is also much more stable. Even under pressure from the side in the pot dispensers the pot will not be deformed. The facet rim makes the pots being easy to destack.

The wider rim also brings significant advantages for further processing. Forklift and back forklift systems can lift up the plant pots more securely underneath the rim, whereby they are displayed layer upon layer. This is unique, because until now this was only possible with pots that were manufactured in an injection moulding process. Additionally they lie on the forks more securely and do not sway. With the wider rim the plant pots are optimally conceived for Space O Mat processing. Therefore the TEKU product developers prove once again that they not only register the wishes from practice, but also offer solutions.

Apart from the modified rim the further optimised design offers additional added value. This results in a up to ten percent higher loading level. 72 pots or with a little tolerance 75 pots can be stored on a CC trolley. This reduces the transport costs. Therefore the new TEKU plant pots VCG 10.5 and VCH 10.5 mean an improved fit for the NORMPACK® trays.

Many of the advantages are also in small, hidden details. For example Pöppelmann strengthened the patented multi hole profile bottom of the TEKU plant pots from series VCG and VCH. Therefore the pots move flawlessly on conveyor belts even without soil. The advantages of the multi hole profile bottom are unaffected by this. The floor holes allocated on three levels contribute to quick watering and draining for good cultures. The two new varieties vary in height and are also different due to the resulting volume of 460 (VCG) and 510 ml (VCH).

Pöppelmann ensures that the reject quota is reduced for plant pots and plants. Each additional plant pot or plant means added value for the professional grower. Due to the strong bottom there are less losses due to crushed plant pots on carton or pallet floors. The black inside protects the roots and the soil against light exposure. The terracotta coloured outer layer reflects light and prevents excessive warming of the soil.

No modern and efficient product today can get round the topic of sparing use of resources. The new TEKU plant pots from series VCG and VCH cut a very good figure here due to the use of carefully prepared recycled material.

The TEKU plant pots from series VCG and VCH are more than just normal plant pots.
