Official inauguration of Arburg subsidiary in Taiwan
· Inauguration ceremony attended by 150 invited guests and high-profile delegation from the German headquarters
· Managing Partner Renate Keinath and Managing Director Sales Gerhard Böhm inaugurate the building
· Expansion of service and application technology consulting
Lossburg. On 22 September 2016, Arburg's Taiwanese subsidiary in Taichung was officially inaugurated and its offerings presented live to the 150 invited guests. Fittingly for this special occasion, a high-profile delegation from the German parent company was in attendance to officially inaugurate the subsidiary, which has already been actively operating since April 2016. During the event, Arburg's Managing Partner Renate Keinath and Managing Director Sales Gerhard Böhm emphasised the great significance of Taiwan's high-tech market.
“The founding of the Arburg organisation is an important milestone of the company's successful development in Taiwan,” said Renate Keinath and thanked the former trading partner on behalf of the entire Arburg organisation: “Over the past 35 years, we have enjoyed excellent representation by C & F International Corp. in this important market. However, Arburg has never been known to rest on its laurels. We always endeavour to offer our customers an even better range of products and services.”
Strategic expansion in Taiwan
Because Taiwan has great significance for Arburg as an innovative market with numerous high-end companies, the stated objective is to not only to secure a local presence with a subsidiary over the long term, but also to strategically expand it further. “In Michael Huang, we have succeeded in recruiting an experienced plastics specialist as subsidiary manager. Moreover, because we have taken on many Sales and Service employees from our former trading partner, the same extensive knowledge and familiar local contacts will continue to be available to our customers in the future,” added a delighted Renate Keinath. She went on to explain that the new premises offer some 550 square metres of floorspace, providing the perfect setting for the extensive service offerings. The showroom also provides sufficient space for three Allrounder injection moulding machines.
Subsidiary offers high-tech, service and expertise
After the inauguration ceremony, the guests had the opportunity to gain a first-hand impression of the extensive facilities at the new subsidiary. Furthermore, two seminars provided expert knowledge on trends and developments in injection moulding in general, as well as on the processing of liquid silicone (LSR).
During the subsequent evening celebration, Managing Director Sales Gerhard Böhm explained the extensive offerings in detail: “Our subsidiary in Taiwan offers high-end technology, pre- and aftersales service, as well as comprehensive expertise. The showroom is not only a presentation forum for current Arburg machine technology, it is also a central point of contact for customer trials. The well-stocked spare-parts store ensures excellent availability and rapid provision. Four comprehensively trained Service technicians are deployed in Taiwan to ensure rapid support at the local level.”
The infrastructure in Taiwan will be expanded in a targeted manner, for example by broader service offerings and application technology consulting. The intention is to ensure that Arburg can offer its customers the same first-class service and support in Taichung for which the company is renowned worldwide.
Focus on special and standard applications
“We are proud that many specialist high-end companies in Taiwan have already been using Arburg plastics technology for a long time in the fields of medical technology, electronics, powder injection moulding (PIM) and LSR processing," said Gerhard Böhm adding, “With our technology, our applications and our turnkey solutions, we intend to continue growing, not only in specialist areas, but also in standard fields such as thermoplastic processing, for example.”
Varied fringe programme
In keeping with the occasion, a short film presented the new electric Allrounder Golden Electric series that meets customer demand for high-performance, production-efficient entry-level machines and offers an excellent price/performance ratio thanks to consistent standardisation. An impressive LED show and a multi-course dinner rounded off the programme at the evening event.
