Before you proceed with your application, please check that you meet all following criteria to ensure that you are eligible to transfer to Derbyshire Constabulary.
  • Be a serving police officer in a Home Office force.
  • Have a full driving licence.
  • Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues.
  • Demonstrate commitment to achieving high levels of attendance – attendance will be viewed against absence records for three years.
  • Have resided in the UK for three years immediately prior to submitting your application.
  • Not be a member of the British National Party (BNP) or similar organisation
  • Applications who have existing County Court judgements outstanding against them or who are registered bankrupt and their bankruptcy debts have not been discharged for at least three years will not be considered for appointment. Applicants with Individual Voluntary Agreements (IVA) will also be looked at on an individual basis.
  • Must be an occupationally and operationally competent Firearms Officer trained to a minimum of the National ARV role profile as detailed in the NPFTC Module A2 version 5.5
  • Be able to pass the JRFT to level 9-4 on application
  • Must be a current police advanced driver
