Thankyouforyour interestinjoiningtheNSW CarersAdvisoryCouncil. Applications areinvitedto fill avacancyontheNSW Carers Advisory Council for a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) Council member.
Ideally the CALD Council member needs to have a broad knowledge and good networks relevant to CALD community and their carers. Applicants must either be carers, or demonstrate interest and relevant knowledge and expertise in matters relating about care within the CALD community.
Members should have an understanding of Government decision-making processes, leadership skills and a capacity to contribute strategically to the development of policy.
TheNSWCarersAdvisoryCouncil(theCouncil)wasestablished under theNSW Carers (Recognition)Act2010toadvance theinterests ofcarers.TheCouncilprovides advice totheNSWGovernmenton legislation, policyandothermattersrelatingtocarers.TheCouncilmeets approximately four (4)timesa yearinSydney.
WhilethemajorityofmembersoftheNSWCarersAdvisoryCouncilare carers,otherswithrelevant expertiseabout caringareencouragedtoapply.
