Cal-Comp USA Renames SMS Technologies and Total Electronics
San Diego, CA. June 1 2012 - Cal-Comp USA, the parent company of SMS Technologies and Total Electronics, announced today that the company has renamed both divisions of CCUSA to continue their Corporate Global Branding strategy. CCUSA San Diego Factory formerly known as SMS Technologies will now be known as Cal-Comp San Diego ( CCSD ) and CCUSA Indiana Factory formerly known as Total Electronics will be known as Cal-CompIndiana ( CCIN ).Cal-Comp is a Thailand public company controlled byNew Kinpo Group of Taiwan. Cal-Comp, the Electronics Manufacturing Services group within the Kinpo family, ships over $6 billion worth of product annually. Kinpo, Cal-Comp’s parent company, is 37 years old, and has annual revenues of $34 billion in EMS/ODM services, and employs 95,000 people in Taiwan, Thailand, China, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Poland and the Philippines.
Cal-Comp USA operates Manufacturing and Design facilities in 3 North American locations, which include Cal-Comp San Diego, Cal-Comp Indiana located in Logansport IN, and Cal-Comp Mexico in Reynosa MX.
