Post / Wellbeing Service Project Worker
Location / Based in either Cambridge, Peterborough or St. Neots.
The post holder will be required to work across the catchment area of Cambridgeshire.
Line Manager / Wellbeing Service Manager
Hours / Full time - 900am – 500pm, initially 1 year fixed term contract
Salary / NJC scale £18,070 to £20,138 (Point 18-21)
Main Objective / To enable people who have moderate to severe mental health needs to develop their mental and physical wellbeing, independence and quality of life through access to the range of recovery based therapeutic and social interventions provided by the Wellbeing Service, Mind in Cambridgeshire.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
To deliver a range of social interventions based on recovery principles, to promote the recovery, social inclusion and physical wellbeing of adults of working age who have moderate to severe mental health needs.
To use a variety of interventions such as face to face work, group work, telephone and e mail contact to offer a range of therapeutic and social interventions.
To organise and facilitate therapeutic and social groups ensuring that the aims and objectives for the activity are met.
To support individuals through the referral procedure, supporting them on their initial visits, during their assessment and throughout their time with the service.
To support individual recovery through the use of tools such as the Recovery Star, Wellness, Recovery Action Plans and support plans with service users.
To support the ‘co-production’ model of service delivery through working with and supervising volunteers (some of whom will have had the lived experience) who are facilitating groups and providing peer support.
In conjunction with other members of the team, to actively encourage user participation and involvement in the planning, development and evaluation of the wider range of mental health services and to support the work of the SUN Network (service user forum).
To work closely with other community mental health services to develop and maintain an effective and quality service.
To continuously develop the role of Project Worker, in conjunction with the Line Manager, to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner.
To support mental health promotion within the local community.
To maintain service user records and collect data as required by Cambridgeshire County Council, which is commissioning the service, to support the analysis, audit and evaluation of the service.
To complete referral, assessment and review reports on service users, maintain group records and produce other written reports as required.
To input data onto our service user data base.
To participate in and complete all training relevant to the delivery of the service.
To participate in regular clinical, line management supervision and annual appraisal.
To participate in the Mind in Cambridgeshire Mind lone worker duty system.
To maintain standards of care with regard to health and safety, equal opportunities, confidentiality, individual and personal choice.
To work within all Mind in Cambridgeshire’s policies and procedures at all times with specific reference to the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Child Protection policies.
To travel independently to community locations, including service user’s homes, to deliver the service.
To undertake all other duties commensurate with the role description.

Information
·  Gather information and outcome measures as required.
·  Provide regular activity reports to Line Managers.
·  Be involved in clinical audit.
