1. New Course Proposal
ATR 418 – Pharmacology and Advanced General Medical Conditions / Discussion:
1. The proposed title is specified by the professional organization – combing 2 courses (ATR 318 and ATR 349) to make this a 3-credit course
2. There was confusion about the frequency code as fall, but the description states it has to be taken by seniors in the last semester. IF there is a prescribed sequence then there is no flexibility. E. Gravani will confirm with the department

2. Alteration of Existing Course:
- ATR 318 Advanced Athletic Training
3. Deletion of Courses:
- ATR 349 Clinical Medical Skills in Athletic Training
- ATR 401 Pharmacology in Athletic Training / Discussion:
1. Students who are currently registering for this class – will be automatically moved into the new course
2. Because M.D.’s need to teach these courses there was slight concern of N. Sternfeld’s commitment due to her retirement. She is being hired as an adjunct on a semester basis.
3. Course syllabus was not included with application; C. Van Der Karr will follow up to get the syllabus.

4. Alteration of Existing Course ATR 360 Psycho-Social Intervention and Referral / Discussion:

5. Alteration of Existing Program ATR 360 / Discussion:
1. Program description will be placed in the new catalog. Students already registered for ATR 349 and ATR 401 courses will automatically be placed in ATR 418

6. New Course Proposal COM 321 Intermediate Writing for Public Relations / Discussion:
1. The committee is requesting clarification on question 12 where is refers to COM 310 and COM 323 as options vs. COM 321 to replace them. C. Van Der Karr will contact P. van der Veur to provide clarification

1. Description of program states “an option to choose” where committee members thought it sounded like a requirement. The description needs to draw attention to the clarification. C. Van Der Karr will contact P. van der Veur for clarification.

8. Alteration of Existing Courses:
- EDU 355 Physical Education Curriculum: Planning & Practice
- PED 356 Adapted Physical Education and Sport eg….essentially same change same change – alter / Discussion:
1. Both were reviewed at the same time as they are both requesting the same change to add a prerequisite to the existing course description. It was noted that if the workshops are not completed the students transcript will be flagged

9. - New Course Proposal AAS 456 International Politics in the Middle East
- Alteration of Existing Course POL 456 (cross-listed with AAS 456) / Discussion:
1. The new course states that the prerequisite can be taken concurrently, however it is not indicated in the course description on the application.
2. The description needs to be edited or the prerequisite changed to no. C. Van Der Karr will follow-up with the department for clarification

PHI333 Ethics of Love / Discussion:
1. It was asked why this course has a 300 designation; clarified that it is consistent with other classes offered
2. It is the intention to make it regular course offering, however, and will strengthen social philosophy

Alteration of Existing Courses (multiple alterations from the Math Department) / Discussion:
1. D. Pitman provided an overview of the multiple alterations being submitted. He admitted that the course descriptions were not very descriptive and sometimes inaccurate. These alterations are being put forth in an effort to clean up and standardize what is being offered.
