Job Summary / Provide Administrative services for the IT Telecoms department.
Effective liaison with users, suppliers and Marie Curie’s outsourced IT service desk.

Main Duties

Working in a demanding environment providing highest level of service to MCCC users.

This is an important role within the Charity and the post-holder will have input to a wide variety of projects. Due to the nature of the role, some work will be required to be performed out of normal office hours.

General

  • To be an efficient and well-informed first point of contact for the IT department.
  • General administration
  • Ensure records are kept up to date including extension list, mobile phone users, cost codes etc.

Request Management

  • Manage requests for new telephone handsets, lines and extensions (both fixed and mobile) and place orders as required with authorised suppliers
  • Manage requests for new broadband and place orders as required with authorised suppliers

Invoicing

  • Check incoming bills for telephone / data / network services for accuracy and correct charge allocation
  • Code incoming invoices to appropriate departmental codes
  • Raise queries as required with appropriate billing companies

Report Production

  • Produce call reports showing calls made by each site
  • Produce / request mobile phone call reports as required

Telecoms System Administration

  • Remote administration of the Telephony system in all major sites
  • Monitor the Telecoms call queue using the service desk internet portal resolving calls where possible and escalating to Voice and Data manager and external providers where required
  • Ensure documentation is maintained and kept up to date.
  • Produce and distribute telephone directory import files

Other Duties

  • Provide Holiday / Sickness cover to the IT Admin Assistant

General

  • All employees are required to be aware of their responsibilities towards health and safety and to adhere to the fire regulations.

Salary £20,000 + £2,550 London Allowance per annum

Annual leave entitlement25 days (including 8 bank holidays)
