&
APHA/PtHA/ASHA Carded Horse Show Judge, Dr. Leigh Ann Skurupey
Workshop Details
Participants (youth/adult/coach) interested in learning the key necessities in developing and working towards a high scoring reasons set should attend this workshop opportunity. One does not have to be enrolled in 4-H to attend. Oral reasons are critical to a competition and need to be very structured, organized and perfected in order to do well and place high in a contest. Participants will learn the correct descriptive terminology, how to organize their thoughts in a logical sequence and most importantly, the key to note taking during the contest. Participants will also learn how to present their oral reasons effectively without notes and begin to gain confidence, personality, and professionalism. Most importantly, participants will learn how to deliver a correct and accurate set of oral reasons to a judge.
