Bring your classroom to life with 12 popular tools that will change the way you teach forever! This course will explore technologies that will enhance your Common Core lessons by increasing attention and overall performance. Improve your instruction by instantly assessing student data. WOW your students and peers with cutting edge technology that is surprisingly easy to learn and even easier to implement. This course is appropriate for all subjects and grade levels. Each session will concentrate on a different tool, and will include a combination of instructional time and independent time to create lessons and activities for immediate classroom use.

Online Component: Participants will have until December 19, 2017 to create and submit three (3) lesson plans using the technologies learned in this course. CTLE certificates will be mailed when all requirements have been met.

Session 1: Nov. 2 - Virtual Field Trips- Take your students outside the classroom without ever opening the door. We will explore several ways to take your students on a virtual field trip using Google Cardboard, Google Maps, Google Expedition, and Nearpod.

Session 2: Nov. 9 - Nearpod- This interactive presentation and assessment tool allows you to create or download a presentation, share your lesson, and interact with each student in real time, all while monitoring and measuring student results on an individual and aggregate basis.

Session 3: Nov. 14 - Quizlet & Quizlet Live- Quizlet provides free study tools for learners of all ages that can be used inside and outside of the classroom. Quizlet Live is a game where teams of students work together, racing to learn material in a study set.

Session 4: Nov. 16 - Formative- This platform allows you to create online formative assessments quickly. You can monitor the students as they complete assigbments and see responses in real time.

Session 5: Nov. 21 - Powtoon- Create awesome animated videos and presentations with this presentation software that allows teachers and students to create fun and engaging videos.

Session 6: Nov. 28 - Classkick- Give students more feedback than ever with this magic whiteboard. Students work on assignments while getting help from teachers and peers instantly.

Session 7: Nov. 30 - Plickers- Plickers is a powerfully simple tool that lets you collect real-time formative assessments without the need for student devices.

Session 8: Dec. 5 - Padlet- Padlet is one of the easiest ways to create and collaborate. It works like a sheet of paper, where students can all comment and see instant responses.

Session 9: Dec. 7 - Kahoot- This game based learning platform makes it fun to learn any subject on any device. Create a fun learning game made from a series of multiple-choice questions that can include videos, images, and diagrams. Students can also put answers in chronological order with their new “Jumble” feature.

Session 10: Dec. 12 - Weebly- Weebly is a surprisingly easy way to create a high- quality website or blog for teachers or students.

Session 11: Dec. 14 - Zipgrade and Epic- Zipgrade turns your phone or tablet into an optical grading machine similar to a Scantron. Provide instant feedback by grading exit tickets, quizzes, and formative assessments. Epic! is an online library, offering unlimited access to over 25,000 high-qualitybooksfor children.

Session 19: Survey Monkey- This online survey software and questionnaire tool allows you create and publish online surveys and view them graphically instantly.
