Job Title: 3.25-Hr, Regular Ed Instructional Assistant
Work Location: Nine Mile Falls Elementary
Nature and Scope of Job: (1 or 2 sentence summary of position): Supervision of students in and out of academic areas. Provide assistance for teachers in and out of classrooms. Possible one-on-one assignments.

Primary Job Functions
  1. Ability to assist students academically.
  2. Address inappropriate student behavior.
  3. Monitor the hallway, bathroom, and outside.
  4. Provide classroom assistance to teachers.
  5. Maintain student confidentiality.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Work Day/Work Year: 3.25 hours per day Monday-Friday – School Days
12:30-3:45pm
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Required Qualifications (Traits, Education, Experience, Training, physical requirements, etc.):
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. WSP/FBI background clearance
  3. Ability to communicate and work with others
  4. Ability to lift 25 pounds
  5. Present an image appropriate for students.
  6. Ability to willingly follow instructions of supervisor/principal.
  7. Valid Washington State Drivers License.

Desired Qualifications
  1. Self-motivated and enjoys working with ALL kids.
  2. Sound mental, moral, and ethical character.

  • Desks, chairs, phones, copiers, books, classroom technology.

Environmental Demands:
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing.

UPON HIRE
If you are hired you will need to complete an Employment Eligibility Form and submit documentation to Human Resources for review and verification to comply with the Federal Immigration Reform and Control Act. All offers of hire are contingent upon passing a nation-wide criminal history check. All newly hired employees must complete a probationary period of 60 days following their hire date.
