Proof of registration as a Master student, PhD student or post-doctoral researcher withaEuropean university (Member States of the EU)

Copy of the article to be considered

Abstract of the article (max. 2 pages, Times New Roman 12, single spacing)

Executive summary of the Master or PhD thesis or the post doctoral research project (max. 5 pages, Times New Roman 12, single spacing). The executive summary should include the following elements:

  • Introduction
  • Detailed research questions
  • Summary of literature review
  • Main characteristics of the methodology
  • Main results
  • Contributions and implications for research and practice

Copy of the Master or PhD thesis or research project (if applicable)

Copy of passport

A passport photograph of the candidate(in jpg.)

Application Procedure

The Application must be sent via e-mail to: Mrs Maddalena Malgarini (), with Mrs Ariane de Bellefroid in copy ().

The Application Form and all supporting documentation must be sent by the candidatein ONE email (zip format).

The subject line of the email must read: APPLICANT NAME-Application Peace Tour Award:

Application Deadline

The application must be sent before the 18th of April (midnight,00:00 CET).

Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.

Selection Process

The jury will reach a decision before the9thof May 2014. Laureates will be notified by Monday9th of May 2014.

Travel to Beijing

The winners will be contacted shortly after Monday 9th May to arrange their travel to Beijing for the awards ceremony. The expenses associated with their participation in the awards ceremony will be covered in fullby the organisers (this includes flights, accommodation and food).

Please note that applicants must be available to attend the Awards Ceremony in Beijing. Barring exceptional circumstances, attendance is compulsory. Please ensure that you have no prior commitments from the 26th to the 30thof May 2014 before applying.

Record of past winners

The winners agreeto have their names publicly divulged on the MCF and ECCEF websites, and to keep MCF and ECCEF informed about the evolution of their careers.
