CANINES: For your dog’s protection, all vaccines must be current before admission into our boarding facility. Intranasal or Oral Bordetella, a vaccine for kennel cough, and the canine influenza vaccines are mandatory for all dogs being admitted into our kennels. Signature of the form acknowledges understanding of the risk of any dog contracting kennel cough or the flu while being boarded. Boarding animals must be free of external parasites upon entry, or will be treated at the owner’s expense.
FELINES: For your cat's protection, all vaccines must be current before admission into our boarding facility. Besides the Feline Distemper combination and the Rabies vaccine, Feline Leukemia is also manditory for all cats being admitted into our kennels. Signature of the form acknowledges understanding of the risk of any cat contracting Leukemia and viruses included in the Distemper combination vaccine while being boarded. Boarding animals must be free of external parasites upon entry, or will be treated at the owner's expense.
Advantages of boarding at a veterinary hospital is having veterinary attention available should the need arise. If an animal becomes ill or in need of emergency medical treatment, our staff will attempt to reach you at the number(s) listed above regarding the pet’s condition. Some animals develop diarrhea from the stress of boarding and may require medications to correct the situation. Any treatments or other costs deemed necessary by Bountiful Animal Hospital Veterinarians are the responsibility of the owner.
Owners are welcome to bring bedding and toys to make their animals stay less stressful. The kennel staff will do their best to prevent soiling or chewing on belongings, but are not responsible for damaged or lost items.
No boarding animal will be released until all charges are paid in full. Any pet left 10 days past expected pick-up date, unless BountifulAnimalHospital is otherwise notified, will be assumed abandoned. BountifulAnimalHospital will assume ownership of the animal and do what is deemed best and necessary.
