You can try the manual method from page 11 to page 12. If this does not work then we will proceed with the returns of the item.

Reset the router and logon to the repeater as shown in page 3 and page 4

Do not use the setup Wizard

Go to

Wireless à Basic Settings à

Finish the instruction on page 11 as instructed below

Mode :: Repeater

Network type :: Infrastructure

SSID of wireless AP :: use your SSID of the router where the internet connection is originated (As example I am giving “Wilson”) (This is Case sensitive so make sure that all the letters are enters as shown by the router SSID)

Enable Universal Repeater Mode (Acting as AP and client simultaneously) (enable this feature)

SSID of Extended Interface ::Give a new name here for example I am giving Wilson2 ( this will be the SSID of the repeater)

BAND :: 2.4Ghz(B+G+N)

Leave the remaining settings as it is.

**Click Apply settings ( Do not save and reboot the router yet)

** Reboot Later

Follow the instructions on page 12 as instructed below

Step 1 : Select the SSID

Select SSID :: ( There will be two SSID in the list select the one with “Root Client – name of the network (( exampleà Root client -Wilson )

Encryption :: Select your encryption method. This must be the same encryption method used by the router where the internet connection is originated if you do not know please check your router settings) Here example is WPA2

Authentication Mode :: Select * Personal (Pre-Shared Key)

WPA2 Cipher Suite :: Select “AES” or “TKIP” as used by the router where the internet connection is originated

Pre-Shared Key Format :: Select * Passphrase

Pre-Shared Key :: “Enter the password of your network to access the router where the internet connection is originated Please be advised that this is not same as the WPS”

**Click Apply settings ( Do not save and reboot the router yet)

** Reboot Later

Step 2 : Select the second SSID

Select SSID :: Select the second SSID saying “Repeater AP – Wilson2 “( this will be same as the name given in the SSID of Extended Interface name basic settings as example )

Encryption :: Here example is WPA2

Authentication Mode :: Select * Personal (Pre-Shared Key)

WPA2 Cipher Suite :: Select AES

Pre-Shared Key Format :: Select * Passphrase

Pre-Shared Key :: “ Enter a password of your liking this can be different from your original router password”

**Click Apply settings ( Do not save and reboot the router yet)

** Reboot Later

Wireless à WPSà

Disable WPS (Check the box and disable the WPS)

**Click Apply settings ( Do not save and reboot the router yet)

** NOW REBOOT THE REAPEATER

After rebooting you wont be able to access the wireless repeater. Disconnect and reconnect the wireless repeater after the timers expires on the setuppage. A new network will be showing in your Wireless network list as “Wilson2” and you can see two different wireless networks one will be your original wireless network and the other one will be the wireless repeater.
