Wow! Your superb Spanish writing abilities have landed you a job as a writer for a very popular Magazine. You are so good at writing about fashion andsport’s uniforms that two companies want you: InStyle magazine en espaol and ESPN en español! You get to decide which one you want to work for.

What to wear to prom? Your date wants you two to match. Should you?

Job description:

Before you get hired, you need to design a cover for the magazine, and write three pages with articles.

For the cover you need

  1. To highlight your articles so that people are interested in reading them and put at least 1 picture.

For each of the spreads/articles you need

  1. Pick one magazine - either fashion or sports.
  2. Choose three topics from that magazine to write about.
  3. For each three topics/articles include 3 pictures of clothing, shoes or accessories
  4. Write at least 50 words per page or 10 sentences, whichever is more, in which you address the topics you chose from above. It must be coherent – you are applying for a high profile magazine job!!! Be professional!!

The editors will look for your correct use of the following depending on your topic.

  1. Commands
  2. The use of deberías + verb
  3. Preterit tense
  4. Imperfect tense
  5. Present tense
  6. Clothing adjectives…lots of them
  7. Correct adjective agreement
  8. Clothing vocabulary
  9. Overall look of your spreads and cover page.
