The Hazel Standridge Scholarship
Miss Hazel Standridge dedicated 29 years to Stroud High School teaching the subjects of speech and debate from 1954 – 1983 and remained active in our community after retirement. This scholarship is presented in the honor of the countless lives she touched and shaped as a teacher at SHS. It is because of her honorable mission to teach that many students could not only dream but could achieve their life’s goal. It is through this scholarship fund that the impact of her teachings will reach new generations of Stroud High students.
This scholarship is donated by Mr. Thomas Zack Cooper, a 1966 Stroud graduate and student of Miss Standridge, who resides in Los Angeles, California.
