‘Requires Improvement’
Practice / Date of Inspection / Date of PublicationCramlington Medical Group / 01/02/16 / 26/05/16
Cramlington Medical Group was inspected in 2015 and, although rated ‘Inadequate’ were not placed in special measures as a robust action plan was being implemented. The 2016 rating is a result of a re-inspection and while the ‘Requires Improvement’ rating reflects that work remains to be done it also shows that the practice has improved on its 2015 inspection position.
Where a practice is rated as ‘Requires Improvement’ and legal requirements have not been met, they must send CQC a plan stating what action they are going to take to meet the requirements.
A Clinical Advisor at NHS England will risk assess the CQC inspection report. NHS England request a copy of the action plan from the practice and liaise with them to ensure actions are completed prior to re-inspection by the CQC.
There were no practices classed as ‘Inadequate’ during this period.
