Masterclasses

In 2016 and 2016 three masterclasses are offered to experienced managers and staff in the youth circus field who want to increase their skills and motivation and exchange good practice.
Each masterclass consists of a 5-day course and has a specific focus.
This call is for the masterclasses in December 2016 and February and April 2017
PROGRAM
Masterclass 1. Governance
Dates: Arrival december 16th 2016, departure 21nd after 18 pm or 22nd. (Working days 17.12. -21.12. 2016)
Place: Hannover (Germany)
Focus: Create self learning groups/organisations. Common goals, visions, compliance, standards and good project management in social circus organisations
Masterclass 2. Human ressources
Dates: Arrival day February till departure day after 18 pm or (Working days )
Place: Amersfoort ( Netherlands)
Focus: How to improve personell competence. Personell mangement, methods, participation, inclusive work, teachers attitude
Masterclass 3. Daily operational administration
Date: Arrival april 2nd 2017, departure april 7th after 18 pm or april8th
Place: Cinderford (near Bristol/UK)
Focus: Operational side: Guidelines, insurances, internal and external communication, project management, funding etc.
Objectives
Share good practice and experiences
Develop guidelines of good practice in managing a circus school
All Masterclasses are about reflecting our practice. So they have to be held by theory and practice. The focus is on reflection through doing. We expect that you as an organizer are enthusiastic in circus practice and in learning through theatre and movement.
You will be part of a working process, where you as an expert can help to produce an outcome, which is to be spread in europe. So in the end we have better practice in circus schools all over europe.
The PEYC organization will create a resource centre from the outcomes of the masterclass, presenting ways of using circus as a tool in youth work in order to increase the physical, social and psychological well-being of young people.

The course is funded by Erasmus+ Program and is part of PEYC (Professionalizing European Youth Circuses) project. / / REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS
Experience
The participants should have a mimimum of two years experience in administration of a circus school and one has to be a member of professional staff
Intermediate/fluent in English (the course is in English).
Has a desire to share enjoyment of improving to fellow participants and share the outcomes of the masterclass in their own country.
NOTE
Medical insurance is obligatory
PARTICIPANT FEE
€140 per masterclass incl. all meals, accommodation and travel.
(travel reimboursement up to a maximum of 275 €).
