Job Title: / Housing Management Worker
Summary of Position: / Assist the Senior Housing Management Worker to ensure that Amicus Trust housing services are adequately managed. Work directly with residents to ensure their tenancies are maintained, the accommodation is secure and arrangements are put in place for the subsequent resettlement of residents.
Key Responsibilities
1a. Working Hours
·  The post holder is normally required to work a shift pattern between the hours of 8.00 am and 10.00pm
·  Work rotas will include evenings, weekends and with occasional emergency cover or sleepover.
·  The Post holder will be required to carry the pager on a rota basis
1b. In conjunction, with your Senior Housing Management Worker , the post holder has the following responsibilities:
·  ensuring all necessary statutory obligations are carried out, for example in regard to health and safety or funding requirements.
·  maintaining statistical records as required and assisting with internal and external reporting.
·  maintaining correspondence, filing and undertaking other administrative duties in regard to the supported accommodation.
·  participation in the selection of prospective residents in liaison with other members of the staff team and referral agencies where appropriate, ensuring that risk assessments are carried out in all cases.
·  Ensure that all documentation relating to the management of Amicus Trust supported housing stock for which the post holder is responsible is up to date at all times.
·  Supporting residents’ meetings and ensuring agendas and minutes are distributed in accordance with agreed procedures, encouraging residents’ involvement at all times.
·  Caseload of residents to work with on Continuous Development Programme.
·  The resolution of problems and discrepancies with regard to the payment of housing benefit and other benefits.
·  Supporting residents during the process of moving on from Amicus Trust Limited properties, liaising with the Outreach Team as required.
·  To work in partnership with other agencies when necessary.
2.  Resident Participation
·  Encourage participation of residents in a continuous development programme.
3. Monitoring and Evaluating
·  Assist the Senior Housing Management Worker in providing accurate information of the supported accommodation required for regular reports and deliver within timescales.
·  Assist the Senior Management Worker in monitoring and evaluating the supported accommodation.
·  Ensure that residents do not accumulate any arears.
3.  Monitoring and Evaluation
·  Ensure accurate and timely statistical records and reporting to the the appropriate line manager meets deadline.
·  Ensure the monitoring and reviewing of outputs and outcomes of the supported accommodation and identifying and rectifying any discrepancies.
4. General
·  Provide reporting systems as required.
·  Operate within Amicus Trust Limited’s policies and procedures.
·  Ensure the maximum use of information technology systems.
·  Provide cover for other members of the section as appropriate.
·  Professional relationships must be maintained with residents at all times
·  Professional boundaries must be respected, including the need for strict confidentiality.
·  Uniform to be worn during working hours and keep clean and pressed at all times.
·  Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested
