Important things first - Chocolate was made available through out the meeting time. These included fun size bars of Hershey and Butterfinger, boxes of Milk Duds, individual bags of Whoppers, and individually wrapped York Peppermint Patties.

Objective 1: Kentucky Basin Assessment Report

Discuss the notes from the last meeting if necessary.

Determine if additional comments need to be submitted to Lee Colten and Kentucky RBT.

The basin team provided some additional comments on the Kentucky Report. Also, several requested copies of the report on the assessment methodology - priority formula information

Objective 2: Develop outline for Salt River Assessment Report

The SRBT will develop the outline for the report: What information is important when making management decisions? What do we need to know to set priorities? You may want to review the Management Framework document to determine what types of questions will need to be answered.

A strawman was provided to the team for comments. The strawman was a result of discussions at the last meeting based on the KRB format. The following outline was drafted.

Executive Summary - to stand alone separate from the actual document.

Insert Page of all of the background materials - where to find them and a brief description of what is in each of the documents.

Objective 3: Develop layout for Salt River Assessment Report

The SRBT will design the layout for the report: What format is the most user friendly for us to make decisions and for us to explain how we reached those decisions? Priorities?

Allison will develop another strawman and attempt to do one or two HUCs for the December 9th meeting. This will be based on the outline above and the comments from the team. Each member present was provided a table for the HUCs with each one named and numbered and the acreage and square miles indicated. Team members will begin to determine which HUC they would like to prepare the physical description and monitoring description for during the next few months. There are 71 HUCs so there will be plenty to go around. A template will be developed to help with this effort.

Objective 4: Progress of Outreach Activities

What is the status of each workgroup?

Do timelines need to be revised?

Do teams need to be revised?

Are there any special needs from the individual teams?

Not discussed today - but Allison showed copies of maps and documents used at Blackacre Nature Preserve outreach and she showed pictures taken at each of the state monitoring sites.

Allison also mentioned that Lee would like to have a write up on an activity in the basin done on a quarterly schedule. A list of possible newsletters to submit the articles to is being developed and information concerning deadlines for submission will be provided. Allison will work with the team to pick what things can and should be highlighted during each quarter. Different agency representatives can also submit individual articles for newsletters. Allison will handle the paperwork if the text is provided.
