Non-Profit Assistance Fund (NPAF) provides strategic and essential financial support to non-profit organizations in the Twin Cities. Support takes the form of capital loans, skills training clinics, and one-on-one consulting.

· NPAF has received increasing requests from the non-profit community to provide one-on-one consulting services tailored to the specific charity.
· NPAF is interested in assessing the marketability of fee-based consulting services to better serve the Twin Cities non-profit community and increase revenues to expand the program.

· Conduct market and competitive analysis of viability of fee-based consulting services tailored specifically to non-profits.
· If market indicates viability, develop delivery model and basic pilot.
· Solicit feedback on interest of Minneapolis consulting community’s willingness to participate in non-profit consulting market on pro bono basis.

We conducted initial primary research by looking at the websites of organizations working in areas similar to the Nonprofits Assistance Fund proposal. Then we conducted a survey of potential clients for project based financial consulting services and phone interviews with other service providers. As we explored these avenues we decided it would be beneficial to add phone interviews with foundations to get an additional perspective.

The GVC team concluded that there was a need for project based financial consulting to area nonprofits and recommended that The Nonprofits Assistance Fund enter the market. The organization found specific recommendations to be enlightening and plans to go ahead with the project in the near future.
