B. The Job SENIOR ECOLOGICALCONSULTANT
The Senior Ecological Consultant will be responsible to the Regional Associate Director for the development and management of consultancy projects and contracts carried out by the company, focused within the midlands and north of England. As part of our continuing regional development, you will work closely with the Regional Associate Director to support the development of our team based within our office in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. You will be a motivated person and able to work on your own initiative to meet the needs of our clients. You will be involved in all aspects of a busy consultancy including project management, client relationship management, field work and reporting.
C. Specific Responsibilities
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
·Maintain positive client relationships within the region.
·Help to plan and deliverour programme of consultancy work.
·Ensure the ecological quality of all project work is maintained and where possible improved.
·Ensure health and safety issues are met by all projects, at all times.
PROJECT PLANNING
·Prepare work schedules and plans for consultancy work.
·Support the implementation of projects using available resources.
·Balance the requirements of clients and statutory consultees with respect to site ecology, whilst maintaining a professional approach (following CIEEM Code of Practice.)
·Ensure risk assessments and other aspects of Health & Safety are complied with at all times.
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
·Carry out desk-based research and field work as required.
·Produce reports to the highest standards of presentation.
·Ensure all records, files and administration are kept up to date and in a tidy condition.
·Ensure all relevant information is passed to the appropriate support staff.
·Act as lead for projects.
OTHER DUTIES
·Continue professional development in one or more specialist areas.
·Work as part of the wider Middlemarch Environmental team.
