Turkey’s largest mixed-use project, Mall of Istanbul earned two more awards…
“Mall of Istanbul” being developed by Torunlar REIC as one of the largest mixed use projects of Turkey was honoured with the top prizes in the “ Best Mixed Use Development” and “ Best Retail Development” categories in the European Property Awards 2011 that is the most prestigious real property contest.
“Mall of Istanbul” that is poised to be the largest mixed-use Project with its residence, shopping mall, office and hotel concept and being developed by Turkey’s one of the largest REICs, Torunlar REIC was rewarded by the top prizes in “Best Mixed Use Development” and “Best Retail Development” categories in the European Property Awards 2011 that is the most prestigious real property contest. Mr. Emre Torun, Torunlar REIC Chief Marketing Officer received the award at a ceremony held in London at Sheraton Park Lane Hotel.
Mr. Emre Torun, Torunlar REIC Chief Marketing Officer who expressed his views on the award said: “ Torunlar REIC undersigns the projects that bring the firsts and an innovative perspective to the real estate sector. Mall of Istanbul stands out as a project that differentiates itself and draws attention as the largest mixed-use project of Turkey and Europe in national and international fora. As a result of this, we are extremely pleased and proud that this particular project was awarded the best prize in two different categories in the European Property Awards 2011. The award track record of Mall of Istanbul is not only limited to the International Real Estate Awards, but this project had received in June “Highly Commended Project” award in Future Projects category in the Global RLI Awards 2011 held by Retail and Leisure International that is the world’s largest retail and leisure magazine. Therefore, the success of this project and our company were crowned with these awards. “
Mall of Istanbul that will accommodate the largest and most amusing shopping mall of Europe will have such different aspects as theme and amusement park, snowpark, 18 screen movie theater, theme museum, Gourmet Center with its world and local cuisines, botanical garden. There will also be a nostalgic tram line inside the complex which will connect different parts to each other on the open-air avenue sided by restaurants and cafes. The Mall of Istanbul project under way in Mahmutbey at one of the most important crossroads in Istanbul is planned to be completed in the second half of 2013.
