A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Nila Mae Trent.

WHEREAS, Nila Mae Trent was born in Morgan County on February 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Kie and Grace Burgess Watkins; and

WHEREAS, Nila Mae Trent was retired Director of Wolfe County Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a Kentucky Colonel, and an active member of many charitable and civic organizations. She was chosen Grand Marshal of the Wolfe County Swift Silver Mine Festival; and

WHEREAS, Nila Mae Trent served God as a member of the Mize Community Church; and

WHEREAS, Nile Mae Trent was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, John and Kermit Watkins; and her sister, Malcolm Tong. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gene Trent; her son, Ricky Trent; her daughters, Kathy Jean (Kenneth) Lindon, Judy Gail (Jeff) Robinson, and Drema Trent-Gay; her brothers, Vernon and Lelan Watkins; her sisters, Gusteen Byrd and Lillian Davis; her granddaughter, Cherish Rednour; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Nila Mae Trent departed this earthly life on February 15, 2011, and an entire community joins her family and friends in mourning her loss;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

âSection 1. The Senate does hereby express its most profound sense of sorrow and proffers its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Nila Mae Trent.

âSection 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving memory of Nila Mae Trent.

âSection 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Gene Trent, 1890 KY Highway 1010E, Hazel Green, Kentucky 41332.
