MUDDS BANK PLANNING ISSUES

Dear Residents

We had a meeting yesterday Friday 3rd to discuss the lack of enforcement on Mudds Bank and the proposed 'training' invite from WDC. In attendance at the meeting were head of planning, chair of planning, cabinet member for planning, Cllr A. Turner, Mrs Davies and another senior planning officer.

The meeting was called specifically to reiterate our opposition to a 'training' when it should be a meeting/discussion as mentioned in my report at the PC meeting of 18th May and as reaffirmed at the last meeting attended by Cllr Saeed.

Following several emails and telephone conversations with officers and members of planning, it remains our believe that a meeting is needed to challenge the officers on their interpretation of various orders/policies, share knowledge that may assist their work and learn from each other about Mudds Bank. For example, who owned and sold the land 'Mudds Bank' in the first instance? Am sure Cllr Baker and others will have some answers and more which we believe is best 'aired' at a round table discussion.

As noted, following our meeting; temporary stop notice has been issued, there's planned meeting next week with BCC re materials on site and a briefing note on wider issues will be shared soon.

The persistence by you all and information sharing remains the tool with which we challenge the officers so please do continue and we will always represent you at all levels to ensure your concerns are heard. Similar concerns were shared at the Radnage PC meeting on 18th May and the clerk is copied into this email should their members wish to attend the meeting.

We urge you all; Councillors, those in the mailing list and other residents interested in Mudds Bank to please attend

A meeting on 20th June 2016 @ 8pm at Longburrow Hall.

Kind regards

Cllrs Adoh & Saddique
