The Philadelphia Section PGA conducts the tournament, & oversees professional entries.
TOURNAMENT:9th annual LEHIGH VALLEY OPEN
DATE: July 25-26, 2016
COURSE:Northampton Country Club, Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania
PURPOSE:To conduct the region’s premiere open golf championship affiliated with the Philadelphia Section PGA. The tournament -- which will promote the greater LehighValley region as one of the top business, sports, and entertainment markets in the mid-Atlantic region of the country -- will seek to attract top club golf professionals and amateurs from the greater LehighValley, eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware areas. Amateur spots in the field will be available on an exempted basis, and an open and fair qualifying process.
FORMAT:36 holes, stroke play, open and senior divisions
Monday, July 25: opening round of stroke play
Tuesday, July 26:final round of stroke play
AFFILIATION:Philadelphia Section PGA
TOURNAMENT FIELD:120 golfers maximum.
* @ 90 - to- 100 Philadelphia Section PGA golf professionals
* 24 amateur golfers -- see amateur qualifying criteria.
PURSE:To be determined. The goal is to have a purse comparable to a top Philadelphia Section PGA tournament ($20,000 on up).

TOURNAMENT ENTRANCE PROCEDURES
Professional entry procedure: the Philadelphia Section PGA oversees all professional tournament entries.
Amateur entry procedure: All interested amateur participants will participate in a qualifier on Sunday, June 12, 2016 (to be conducted by the Golf Association of the Lehigh Valley Foundation) to round out the 24-player amateur field, unless they meet the amateur exemption qualifying criteria.

4. the screen will state: “I do not have an ID and Password”. Hit “Next”.
5. waiver page: Review the waiver. Click on "I agree to the above waiver", click “Next”
6. fill out the membership form, click “Next”, continue with the tournament registration process.
7. register to play in tournaments.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA -- AMATEUR GOLFERS
* AMATEUR TOURNAMENT FIELD: 24 amateur golfers will be in the 2016 Lehigh Valley Open.
* The maximum number of amateur golfers in the 2016 Lehigh Valley Open is the 31 exempt / qualified spots listed on this page.
* Amateur golfer alternates for the 2016 Lehigh Valley Open will be considered only if the total amateur field in the tournament as of Friday, July 15, 2016 is less than 24 golfers.
* Exemptions are for a particular year only (1-year only, unless otherwise specified).
* Exemptions cannot be deferred or transferred.
* Alternate selection order: amateurs, senior amateurs, junior amateurs.

SUCCESSFUL AMATEUR QUALIFIERS TOURNAMENT FEE INFORMATION
Exempt amateur qualifiers, and successful amateur qualifiers for the 2016 Lehigh Valley Open will pay $130 ($90 for two rounds of golf & power cart at Northampton Country Club, and $40 for Philadelphia Section PGA tournament administration fee) to compete in the 2016 LEHIGH VALLEY OPEN, July 25-26, 2016 at Northampton Country Club.
Amateur prizes of $2,000 (gift certificates) in the 2016 LEHIGH VALLEY OPEN (based on 24 amateur competitors) are sponsored by the GALV Foundation.
The entrance deadline for exempt amateur qualifiers, and successful amateur qualifiers for the 2016 Lehigh Valley Open is Friday, July 15, 2016.
