Primary Purpose of the Job / To assist the events team, with the running of events and ensuring the safety of visitors at all time and providing information regarding the event and the Heartlands site.
Responsible to / Lettings & Events Manager
Principal Responsibilities /
  1. Delivery of excellent customer services to ensure visitors enjoy their time at Heartlands
  2. Help with crowd control at large events and be a point of contact for visitors
  3. To achieve these aims through effective teamwork with staff and volunteers

  1. To assist in the delivery of events across the site including set up, stewarding and break down.
  1. To provide consistently high standards of customer service at all times when dealing with queriesevents visitors may have; answering visitors’ queries and providing information about the site.
  1. To be proactive in talking to visitors, promoting the event and Heartlands.
  1. To keep up to date with the latest events at Heartlands, and conveying this knowledge to visitors.
  1. Ensuring a good level of personal presentation and a friendly happy attitude.
  1. Helping ensure the security and safety of visitors during events
  1. To pass on any complaints to the Events Manager; listen to feedback from visitors.
  1. To work as part of a wider team across Heartlands to deliver organisational objectives.
  1. To take responsibility for your own personal development and to share your learning with others.
  1. Cash handling and issuing tickets. Manning a box office and checking guests into events.

  1. To be an advocate for the Heartlands Trust and to promote the aims of the organisation.
  1. To uphold and comply with the organisation’s Policies and the Law in relation to Health & Safety, Financial Regulations, Equal Opportunities, Data Protection and other adopted Policies and Procedures required for the smooth and effective operation of the organisation.
  1. To undertake other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the status of the post as may be required from time to time.

First Aid certificate
Experience assisting with the delivery of events and hospitality
DBS certificate
3.Work Related Circumstances
Must be flexible and able to work short notice. The role will predominately by weekends, holidays and evenings.
4.Physical/Health Requirements
Person appointed must be able to access all public areas of the property including stairwells, confined spaces, heights etc
Work may involve reasonable lifting of heavy/bulky objects within the published health & safety guidelines on manual handling
