Center Policies

1.  All members must scan their membership card at the Front Desk check-in system upon entering the facility. If your card is lost, there will be a $5.00 replacement fee. If you forget your card you will be required to pay the entry fee for admittance. We will provide a new card free of charge if it is damaged.

2.  Tobacco products are not allowed in any area of the building.

3.  Rollerblades and skateboards are not allowed in any area of the building.

4.  Only non-marking shoes are allowed on gymnasium or racquetball courts.

5.  Shirts must be worn outside of the gym area.

6.  Headsets are permitted but The Center staff must approve other music equipment.

7.  No horseplay, running, or loud and boisterous behavior is allowed in any area of The Center.

8.  Children 7 years of age and under (gymnasium only) must be directly supervised by an adult over the age of 18, unless the parent is in the weight room or on the walking track, then they must be directly supervised by an older sibling.

9.  Children 12 years of age and under are not allowed in the weight room or on the circuit machines. They are allowed on the walking track only when next to, directly in front of or behind an adult.

10.  Profane language and/or abuse of equipment will not be tolerated. Report all broken and damaged equipment to the staff.

11.  Food and drink are allowed only in the lounge and reception area.

12.  Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the building. Additionally, appropriate action will be taken for persons suspected of substance abuse while in the facility.

13.  Pets are not allowed in The Center or unattended on The Center grounds.

14.  No bouncing of balls outside the gym.

15.  Treat equipment with respect and use it for its proper use. No hanging from basketball rims or nets.

16.  The Center is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Please be advised to leave all valuables at home or locked in a locker, keep your locker key with you. Lost and found items are located at the Front Desk.

17.  For your convenience, a phone is located in the main lobby for calling home and/or emergencies only.

18.  No soliciting or distribution of materials is allowed in the building or on the grounds of The Center.

19.  Everyone must enter and leave The Center through the main entrance, which is the South Door. Other doors are for emergency use only.

Penalties for Breaking Rules:

1.  Warning.

2.  Kicked out of The Center for the day.

3.  Membership or entrance to the facility suspended for 3 – 30 days as determined by the Director.

4.  Membership or entrance to the facility revoked for 1 year.

5.  Suspensions may be appealed to the President of the Cheyenne County Community Center Foundation Board within 7 days after the individual has been notified of his/her suspension.

Welcome to the Cheyenne County Community Center!
Your membership is very important to us and we are here to help you in any way we can.

Here are a few things we offer.

·  Fitness Director that will help you become acquainted with our equipment.

·  Classes are included in the cost of your membership.

·  Free daily towel and daily locker use.

·  Discounts on room rentals. The Center can accommodate nearly any type of function you may have planned.

·  Yearly locker rental – enjoy the privacy of your own personal locker.

·  Free Racquetball Courts and use of the gym for recreational activities such as basketball and volleyball. Our racquetball courts can also accommodate a wallyball net for those who enjoy the sport.

·  Senior activities such as coffee with your friends. If dancing is more to your liking, once a month the seniors get together to dance at The Center. The seniors also get together once a month to enjoy a potluck dinner! The Congregate Meal room located in The Center is the place for lunch for many seniors, Monday through Friday.

·  Six newsletters a year to keep up to date with what is going on at The Center.

A few rules to remember:

·  You must scan your membership card each time you use The Center. Each member of the family, over the age of seven, will receive their own card. If your card is lost, you will need to buy a replacement card for $5.00. If your card is damaged, a replacement card will be provided to you free of charge. If you forget your card, you will be charged the daily entry fee.

·  Children must be 8 to 13 years old to use the gymnasium by themselves. Children under 8 years old must be directly supervised by an adult 19 years of age or older. If the parent is in the weight room or on the walking track, children age 7 and under may be in the gym but must be supervised by an older sibling. The parent must be in the building for this type of supervision to take place. If not, the child will be instructed to call their parent and sit in the lobby area until the parent arrives.

·  Children 12 years of age and under are not allowed in the weight room or on the circuit machines. They are allowed on the walking track, but for safety reasons, they must be directly with a parent at all times.
