We extend our sympathy to Jo and Pete Dekkers and their family at the passing of Jo’s brother, John TeSlaa, who is also the uncle of Brad Dekkers. May the God who raised Jesus Christ from the dead assure them of the promise of eternal life for those who trust in him.
Kory Bonnema will be moving back to the Village on Monday after a couple of months recovering from back surgery.
Beth Faber returned home from the hospital late last week and has been seeing specialists in Sioux Falls.
Pray for our college students as many of them return to their studies this week.

--CORNERSTONE PRISON CHURCH is asking for donations of yarn. The inmates at the South Dakota State Penitentiary have the opportunity to knit hats for children in need. The prison does not provide the yarn, so we ask churches and individuals to help with this important ministry. Yarn can be dropped off in the office at First Reformed Church, Sioux Center. Thank you for your generosity.

--ICS FISHING TOURNAMENT - Join us for a winter family fundraiser!Ireton Christian School is hosting an ice fishing tournament on January 21, 2017 on Emerson Bay, West Lake Okoboji. Adult prizes will be given to the most weight in pan fish caught, youth prizes will be a general drawing. Entrance fees are Adults - $25 in advance and $30 same day; Youth (under 16 yrs old) - $10 in advance and $15 same day. The following will be available at the Christian Life Center at Camp Okoboji: parking, registration, weigh station, coffee, soups, cinnamon rolls, restrooms and a fish cleaning station on site.This is a family fun event, so invite your friends and relatives of all ages and skill!
