December 2015 President’s Message
Happy Holiday Season folks! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday weekend with all your families. This whole holiday season it what's it's all about. Enjoy your families and take the time to enjoy.
At our November meeting we had our 2016 club officers nominations also club support duties from members who volunteer to take an important task of duties during the year that make the whole machine run smoothly.
We had only one change at the November meeting and that was our secretary for 2016. Kathy Clemons has accepted the club position of secretary for the 2016 season. Next time you see Charlie let him know that his service as 2015 secretary was well appreciated. Thank you Charlie for your service sir, and thank you Kathy for taking over this secretary’s position.
Again, thank you everyone else who volunteers to be sure our club runs smoothly it will again for the 2016 season beyond with our great relationships with each other. Nice group of folks to work with.
There is time to remind you of the annual Christmas Luncheon at Saullo's Restaurant on Sunday December 13th. If you have not filled out the reservation sheet in the November newsletter you have till December 6th to get it back to our clubs post office box to be included in the final count for members attending. There should be a map where Saullo's is located this newsletter. 2778 Muegge Road in St. Charles, MO 63303. Their contact number is 636-922-9105. I sent out a separate email recently stating that if you need to have a special diet this day contact me or Barb and we can arrange this for you. Billy at Saullo's wants to work with those who have special diet needs and we can arrange this for you. Call Barb or myself and we will make this happen. We try hard to be sure you can enjoy this event with everyone else so don't miss this wonderful time with other members during this holiday celebration. We had 60 members attend last year lets make it 70 members attending this year. The restaurant is closed from 11:00 to 3:00 just for our club members so come and enjoy. NOTE: This restaurant is BEHIND a WENDY'S burger joint in a strip mall. Look for Wendy's and the strip mall is behind Wendy's for Saullo's.There are several entries to get towards this back lot. This will be HUGE!
Have you sent in your annual club dues yet? Better send in the money or we will send Gwetto to your home?
Again I wish to thank all that make our club very successful and very friendly for the new people coming around to see if they wish to join this club. We had Andy Keifer and Melva ( did not get her last name ) attend last meeting so we get new attendees at most all meetings. We are a fun group and we all appreciate the friendships we have gained in this club. It's a nice experience every time we gather together.
There is a new year coming and the club officers are looking for club activities so think of what we can do as a group and bring this up at the January monthly meeting so we can get the activity planned and scheduled.
NO DECEMBER MEETING AT SPORTS CAFE. Our next club meeting will be Tuesday January 12th.
Take the time and slow down to enjoy the end of the year and enjoy the holidays and everything that goes with it. The visiting of families all coming together as this time on earth is about relationships that we collect thorough life. So slow down and enjoy this time and relationships as it will rush by quickly. Drive around and take time to see all the holiday lights as something simple to enjoy.
In closing Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all as you all are my special friends. Take care of yourselves. God Bless you all!
Gene
