Our Mission:

To Love God and Love Others

Why Do We Exist?

To Have Fun, Learn About God, Encourage Parents, & Celebrate Leaders

Focus

It is the desire of our ministry to encourage children to grow in a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ and each other while developing as servants for His kingdom. We encourage children to experience and respond to the overwhelming beauty and love of Jesus. We want them to KNOW God intimately, LOVE God passionately, GROW in God deeply, and SERVE God selflessly, then SHARE Christ with the world! {Based on Matthew 22: 37-39} We strive to come alongside families in their efforts to train their children to become all that God wants them to be!

Goals

Family Driven Discipleship: the family having the highest responsibility to disciple children.

Gospel-Centered: sharing the gospel and making disciples

Safety: providing safe, nurturing environments.

Hospitality: making all children feel welcome.

Relational Leadership: using relationships with adults and students passionate about Jesus to help lead children into a relationship with Him.

Curriculum

Kingdom Kidz will begin using the Gospel Project curriculum from Lifeway in March 2018. The Gospel Project is a chronological; Christ-centered Bible study for kids that examines how all Scripture gives a testimony to Jesus Christ. Over the course of three years, kids will journey through Genesis to Revelation and discover how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture and continues today!

Our Structure

Our structure is built so that each volunteer team member rotates through once or twice a month. Each area has screened and and trained volunteers who are committed to the spiritual development of each child. We equip these men and woman to be “life-changer teachers”. We believe this is a relational ministry where each teacher is given material first and through God’s Word and it changes them and then in turn changes each

WHAT TO EXPECT

First Time Guests

If you are a guest, WELCOME!!!

Please visit Guest Services in the Kingdom Kidz area and fill out the guest registration form. We ask for the following information: parent’s names, address, phone number, children’s names & birthdates and any special instructions (allergies, etc) for each child. This information is confidential and is loaded into our check-in system for faster drop-offs during future visits.

Security Check In

We ask that you check your child in at a check-in kiosk before service begins. There are check in stations located at each Kingdom Kidz entrance. We use a duplicate tag check-in system to ensure that children are returned only to their parent/guardian.

Each room is clearly signed and designed to meet and impact children spiritually on their developmental level. Please encourage your child (ren) to attend the classroom that is designed for them. We don’t want any child to miss out on what God can pour into their life each week. This is also a safety precaution for our children.

Behavioral Guidelines

We desire to be intentional about presenting Jesus to children each week. We hope to teach children to live a life as Jesus has modeled for us in the Bible. In order to accomplish this we strive to provide a safe and loving atmosphere with clear boundaries and expectations where each child will listen, learn, and respond. Our prayer is that you will share these expectations with your child, so that we can work together as a team in providing your child with the greatest spiritual experience in our children's ministry.

1. Respect your teachers

2. Respect others

3. Respect your surroundings

4. Show love & kindness

Disciplinary Policies

We hope that all children will enjoy their time in Kingdom Kidz; however, there are times when disciplinary actions are needed. We utilize a 3-step discipline approach with the ultimate goal is to always correct in a loving way that reflects the grace, love, and mercy of the gospel. Below are corrective steps when the behavior does not fall within the boundaries set forth.

Step 1: When a child moves outside established boundaries, a verbal warning will be given and the child will be guided to the appropriate behavior and activity.

Step 2: If a child continues to choose behavior outside of established boundaries, the child will spend time away from the current activity in a chair or on the floor for 1 minute per each year of the child’s age.

Step 3: If after the above two steps have been taken, the student continues to choose "out-of-bounds" behavior, and then the parents will be paged to the child’s classroom. At this time, the coordinator will {at their discretion} either ask the parent to discuss the issues with the child and then allow the child back into class, the ask the parent to join the child in class for the remainder of the service, or ask the parents to remove the child from the class for the remainder of the service.

Parental Responsibility Reducing the Risk of Infectious Disease

• We request that you refrain from bringing your child to a specific session if the child has a temperature greater than 99.5 degrees, has a rash, any viral or bacterial infection, sore throat/strep, head or body lice, pink eye, or if diarrhea or vomiting is present. If your child becomes ill during church, he/she will be removed from the classroom and you will be paged.

• Child must be temperature, diarrhea, and vomit free without medication for at least 24 hours before returning to any children’s classroom.

• Please bring disposable diapers during the time that your child is in an early childhood session.

Wednesday Nights

Every Wednesday Big Kingdom Kidz {1st-6th grade} meet at 6:45pm for a time to go deeper in learning all about Jesus while focusing on discipleship {KNOW, LOVE, GROW} and missions {GO, SHARE}. Elements will include a time of corporate worship, active games, and small groups. Little Kingdom Kidz {birth-K} meet at 6:45pm in age-appropriate small groups. We introduce young children to the stories and characters of the Bible using the Beginners Bible Curriculum.

Kingdom Stand

The Kingdom Stand is a special “incentive” for kids to “stand” in Christ as they are awarded points for key activities like attending Kingdom Kidz, bringing a Bible, memorizing the weekly Bible verse, and bringing a friend.

Vacation Bible School {VBS}

Each year in June, children who have completed Kindergarten-6th grades from our community join us for an exciting week of Vacation Bible School {VBS}! Our week is packed with Bible stories, worship, crafts, snacks, and recreation. Watch our website for more information.

Kidz Camp

Kids Camp takes place at CrossTimbers in Davis, Oklahoma in late summer. Kids that have completed 3rd-6th grades take a break from their “normal” and retreat to spend time learning about God, deepening their faith, and having FUN with friend
