Congratulations to our new First Degree KC members who joined our council at our last meeting on October 3. They are Father Bernard Hung, Jeffrey Dudensing, Stan Kvapil, Joe Maldonado and Christopher Jadlowski. Also we have two transfers: Giddings-Bennie Supak and Rockport-Wilfried Meister. Also David Mitchell received his First Degree to join the Rockdale KC council.

Thank you to Father Bernard for blessing our new kitchen facility at the dedication held Sunday, October 27 after mass. Thank you to all brother knights who attended and through your generous donations, made this endeavor possible.

The KC council has volunteered to help serve a light meal, monthly for the Journey class. Our first meal will be Wednesday November 13. KC Insurance Program

FOR 38th CONSECUTIVE YEAR, A.M. BEST REAFFIRMS TOP A++ RATING FOR KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

Every year since 1975, the Knights of Columbus have earned A.M. Best’s highest financial strength rating, A++ (Superior). There is no North American insurer more highly rated than the KofC’s.

Established in 1882 as a Catholic Fraternal Benefit Society, the Knights of Columbus have worked since its inception to enable members to protect their families’ financial futures. What began as a “pass-the-hat” benefit program has grown into one of the nation’s premier insurers. So much so, the Knights rank among the Fortune 1000 list of America’s largest companies. The KofC now offers a diverse portfolio of permanent and term life insurance, disability income insurance, annuities and long term care programs to members and their immediate families.

In addition to the Knights of Columbus’ strong market presence in Catholic communities in the U.S. and Canada, A.M. Best, a global leader in rating and analysis of insurance companies, also cited the Order’s large network of local councils and “consistently positive statutory ratings, excellent persistency and a solid level of risk-adjusted capitalizations” as positive ratings factors. The report also observed the Knights continued growth in membership reflects its wide geographic coverage, expanding network of local councils and variety of fraternal benefits. “Earning A.M. Best’s top rating again this year underscores the strength of our sustainable business model, despite the slow recovery and continued economic uncertainty,” said Supreme Knight Carl Anderson. “We have continued to outpace the industry, reflecting a growing flight to quality.”

On the heels of A.M. Best’s top rating report, came the passing of a major milestone by the Knights when total insurance in force exceeded $90 Billion in June. “Protecting the financial viability of Catholic families has been important since our founding & the milestone of $90 Billion in coverage means we are meeting the needs of more families than ever” said Supreme Knight Anderson. “Our members come to us and stay with us for their insurance needs because they know they will be treated like family & will receive excellent value & products from their agent who is a brother Knight, backed by an organization whose rating for financial strength is second to none in North America.”

As a Fraternal Benefit Society, the Knights of Columbus use much of the proceeds from its insurance program to directly fund charitable projects & to provide support for the charitable works of its approximately 15,000 local councils. This top rating, exceptional growth and success coupled with the unwavering support for our church and beliefs clearly shows the commitment of the Knights. This all adds up to an organization which provides value to Knights & their families beyond compare. Contact your Field Agents Doug or Jody Supak at (979) 968-5332, or visit them at 130 S.
