CAMAS MEADOWS BROOK’S GRAVESITE (TWP 12N RGE 39E SEC 20)
Historical Site, burial site sw of Camas Meadows Battle Ground. Brooks was killed in action at the Battle of Camas Meadows, removed from the field and buried near Camas Creek. As many as six other were wounded, including Samuel Glass, who died and was buried at the Pleasant Valley Stage Station (Fort Harkness) on private property.
