Alaska Native representatives will provide an overview of their culture and the traditional way of life in the Arctic.

1:30 –3:00 p.m. / Why we lobby; Tools of Conservation Advocacy; Lobbying 101; Our “Asks” for the week
The roll of the citizen lobbyist. How to conduct oneself on Capitol Hill and during lobby meetings. How to be an effective messenger and deliver our “asks.”

Q&A and role playing so everyone is comfortable with our “asks.”

Taking the campaign home—media, communications and grassroots
Each person will be asked to create a plan for how they will take the campaign back to their states.
