~ FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK ~
Third Sunday of Easter
What joy the disciples must have experienced being Face-to-face with the Risen Christ! As it had begun when the Lord first called His disciples, He again was telling them on what side of the boat to cast their net for a catch. Coming to the shore, the disciples observed that the Lord Jesus had prepared breakfast for them. With this meal would come a challenging question for the Risen One, and not to Peter only, but to the disciples on the shore, and to us today: “Do we love Jesus?” Loving Jesus means to fully serve Him and to admit our failures when we do not, and to accept the penance and the conversion not as a difficulty but as a proof of our willingness to do the will of Jesus at all times. Being Face-to-face in His Presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament we admit the truth, seek to live the truth, and not to be distracted by earthly desires or motives. Jesus is there to welcome us back when we fail. Jesus is there to grant us mercy and pardon when we approach Him with joy. May we always be mindful of His Presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament as were His disciples on the shore and, with due respect, offer all that we have and are in gratitude to the Lord as He prepares for us the greatest of all meals: His Body and Blood in the Most Holy Eucharist.
Congratulations to Cole Hays and Anna Lemongelli who received their First Holy Communion at this morning’s Mass. May they seek always His Presence and yearn to be nourished in the Most Holy Eucharist.
I wish to express my gratitude to the women of the Altar Society for providing the cookies and refreshments as well as the service for the Jubilee Year of Mercy Holy Hour this past Sunday at St. Peter Church, Brush Creek. It was very much appreciated by all those in attendance.
~ CONGRATULATIONS ~
Our parish family congratulates Dan and Jan Adam who were united in marriage yesterday, April 9th at St. Stephen. May their life together be blessed with all Our Lord's graces.
~ D OF I NEWS ~

~ STEWARDSHIP ~
In today’s Gospel we hear of that mysterious meeting Jesus’ disciples had with Him on the shore of the Lake of Tiberius. Jesus invited them to have breakfast with Him. He took the bread and gave it to them, and the same with the fish. None of the disciples were bold enough to ask: “Who are you?” They realized it was the risen Lord. Those who practice good stewardship of their life of faith are touched by joy and moved by deep awe when encountering Christ in the celebration of the Eucharist. How do you experience the mysterious presence of Jesus in the Eucharist? Do you recognize His presence? Do you hear the Lord’s invitation to draw nearer? Do you experience a closeness, or a reserve? A familiarity, or a distance?
