Graduated from department of Architectural engineering at Alexandria University in 1983. Studied for Masters and Ph.D. degrees in department of Architecture at Al-Azhar University and Strathclyde University of U.K.

Present post is Professor of Urban and Environmental Design at Architecture Department at Effat University. In addition to teaching design studios and computer courses, have been engaged in many research activities through publishing twenty five papers, supervising seven maters and Ph.D. thesis and more than twenty nine funded research projects. Was involved in many others research projects and papers, through being a listed reviewer in many regional magazines and research organizations. In the field of research administration assigned to work as the Deputy director of Center of Excellence in Hajj and Umrah Research at Umm Al-Qura University (CORE).

On the professional level, through being as Professional Certified Design Consultant participated in more than fifty projects with several local and regional organizations. The initiation of Makkah urban observatory was among these projects. Through the last five years, I was engaged in directing the multi-billion project of Umm Al-Qura University main campus master plan as director of planning and development of university campus.

Through the thirty years' academic experience, organized thinking and clearly expressing ideas has become a habit and from the professional practicing, efficiency and practicality have become style of work.
