ROLE SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a temporary, part-time Member Service Representative/Administrator to work approximately 25 hours per week at our downtown Calgary location, with proposed hours of 9.30am –2.30pm Monday through Friday (negotiable), with the possibility of further hours being available, based on vacation cover and the needs of the business.

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the credit union; some experience in either basic accounting or financial/banking environment would be preferred. Must be bondable.

Main Duties of Position

  • Processes member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments
  • Balances all transactions, vouchers and cash daily.
  • Processes member requests such as new member account opening and closures, cheque orders and account information, and registered accounts opening or closures
  • Investigates and resolves errors, discrepancies and problems with member accounts and deposit instruments,
  • Responds to member requests via telephone and email, resolves member concerns/complaints
  • Maintains related records and files; balances and reconciles assigned general ledger accounts; investigates and resolves discrepancies; produce and distribute periodic reports to management.
  • Greets visitors, responds to enquiries on basic credit union products and services, identifies additional information needs and directs members to appropriate areas of the branch for further assistance; books appointments.
  • Produces routine documents including letters, account statements, standard branch documents and basic reports, using computer applications.
  • Provides a variety of routine office administrative support services such as maintaining filing systems, opening and sorting incoming mail.
  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the General Manager or designate
