JOB DESCRIPTION
POST: Independence Support Worker
HOURS: Full Time
LOCATION:Nottingham
RESPONSIBLE TO:Operations Manager
GRADE: (Negotiable at interview)
PIERS (UK) Ltd are committed to supporting young adults to live independently
through a transition of semi independent provisions.
Working in partnership is a fundamental part of this role e.g. After Care Team,
15 plus team, housing, health and education or training provisions.
JOB PURPOSE
To engage with young adults in developing their life and social skills to
live independently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To work with young adults.
- Follow plans of identified support.
- To provide evidence of work carried out with individual young adults.
- To keep daily accurate records as a basis for regular monitoring and tracking
progress of young adults.
- To utilise the ICT equipment on a daily basis.
- To act as an advocate for young adults in a variety of situations/circumstances
i.e. further education, training providers, potential employers.
- To work in partnership with a range of voluntary, statutory and community
agencies where necessary.
- To manage own time and tasks effectively.
- To attend Team meetings and training as required and to represent the
Company positively at external events.
Person Specification: Independence Support Worker

An understanding of the Social, Cultural, physical and emotional

Ability to motivate individual or groups of young adults to take
