College of Technology Finance Meeting

September 16, 2003

Meeting called to order at 12:15 by Finance Chair Tammera Smith.

Role Call, meeting turns to Dev Sasser.

Sasser informs everyone that the reason for todays meeting is to decide upon how emergency funding will be allocated. Sasser reminds everyone that club representatives can only miss two meetings, after that 50% of the club money will be cut. The club representatives make the decision. Emergency funding is set aside by student government to help student organizations fund spontaneous events. Sasser encourages clubs to spend all of the money. However supplemental funding should be spent first because it does not carry over year after year. Rosters need to be turned into the student government office. Thomase Beasley is the Finance Technician for ASISU and is in charge of club accounts. Any money needs to go to him. Meeting turns to Tammera Smith.

Smith states that clubs are encourage to participate in this years homecoming parade by producing a float or helping with the colleges float. Club registration is due by September 23 you can drop it off at the student government office or at the student organizations office located in the SUB. All club representative need to attend at least one finance workshop. The workshops will be held on September 17 1pm to 2pm, September 22 12pm to 1pm, and September 30 12pm to 1pm. If you need more information contact Thomas Beasley at 4332. Smith reminds everyone that the deadline for emergency funding was September 9. Please read your bylaws. The emergency funding money and presidents cup money for this year, is recommended to be allocated in the following way.

Motion to accept emergency funding allocation, motion is seconded and passed.

Smith states that every club needs to keep track of the points that they accumulate over the semester.
