General Function:Under the direction of the Director of Fundraising, the Fund Development Associate is responsible forimplementing the strategies for fund development, specifically with the YMCA’s annual support campaign and grants program. Thecoordinator is responsible for working with staff, members, and volunteers to achievefundraising goals, improve campaign volunteer recruitment and increase member and camper campaign giving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assists with the implementation annual Partner with Youth Campaign including sending timely acknowledgement, tracking gifts and pledges, providing necessary reports, and evaluation.
  2. Creates materials for communication plans and materials to insure donors, members, participants, volunteers, and the community understand the case for support (including email blasts, campaign brochures, newsletters, recognition events, community presentations, etc.)
  3. Implements social, online, and e-mail public relations campaign for the YMCA.
  4. Administrates the reporting and tracking of program deliverables of current government and state grants. Assists with the preparation of proposalsfor grants from government sources and private foundations.

Job Specifications and Physical Requirements:

  • Education/Certifications:
  • Associate’s degree in administration, business, or related field. Familiarity with YMCA programs and services or previous YMCA work experience preferred.

1. Advancing the mission of the YMCA and maximizing philanthropic support through an increasing financial base of current Partner with Youth Campaign.

2. An increasing number of staff and volunteers who participate in all phases of the Partner with Youth Campaign and special events programs.

3. The successful achievement of goals related to the Partner with Youth Campaign.

4. Increasing the visibility and positive image of the YMCA in the community.
