INTRODUCTION TO ATHLETIC TRAINING

Catalog Description:

17 – Introduction to Athletic Training 4 units

Introduces the student to basic taping skills, therapeutic modalities, and rehabilitation principles associated with the field of athletic training. Strong emphasis on injury prevention, recognition and management. Designed to be preparatory for a career in athletic training. 3 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory.

Expected Outcomes for Students:

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

1.  develop a basic understanding of athletic training concepts and applications
