I know you share our team’s commitment to raising as much as we can to help fight breast cancer in Dallas County. As you may already know, the registration cost helps to pay to put on the Race so it is important to fundraise for the event.
As your team captain, I’m here to help, so don’t let the fundraising scare you! I have listed below some steps you can take to be successful in helping our team reach our first goal of [$XXX] by [date].

· Recruit your friends to join our team – try for at least 5 this week!
· Ask, ask, ask! Collect donations from your friends, family and co-workers by directing them to visit your personal fundraising page and donate online.

Every donation counts in our fight against breast cancer! Seventy-five percent of the net funds we raise will be invested into Dallas County to help fund vital local breast health resources for underserved residents, the remaining 25% will be invested into breast cancer research.

I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the Dallas County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure in its efforts to make sure every person in Dallas County has access to breast health education, breast cancer screening, treatment and support.
With an estimated 5,530 people living with breast cancer in Dallas County, it’s no surprise that I too was affected by this horrible disease. [Share story]

Thank you all so much for supporting me and my amazing team in our participation with the 2013 Komen Dallas Race for the Cure®! Last year’s Race brought together over 22,000 people at NorthPark and raised over $2.2 million to run breast cancer out of Dallas County!
Though the event is over, the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure® is not over and I am asking you one last time to help Komen Dallas County serve even more women in 2013 by supporting my Race team with a donation. I can continue to fundraise with my team until November 15! Together we can continue supporting the Dallas County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen as they strive to provide life-saving education, screening and treatment services in Dallas County to all women while continuing the fight as the largest private funder of research.
