KINDERGARTEN NEWS
  • Award’s Day – Our 3rd 9 weeks Award’s Day will be on Monday, April 13 at 9:00 a.m. This is our Leadership Award’s Day. If your child is receiving a Leadership Award, I will be sending home a letter to notify you of their award. Since it is a Leadership Award’s Day, we will NOT be giving out Academic Award’s during Award’s Day. The Academic Awards (Number Blaster and Word Wizard) will be given out in the classroom.
  • Open House - We will have an open house this Thursday, April 9th. If you were unable to attend our Student-Led Conferences on Friday, March 27, your child can show you their Leadership Notebook at this time. I will also be available to answer any questions you may have. This is also a time for you to walk around our classroom/school and see all of the wonderful work your child has done this year. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday night!
  • I cannot believe that it is already the end of the 3rd 9 weeks! We are now in our last 9 weeks of school! Your child will continue to learn a lot these last 9 weeks to prepare them for 1st grade. Please continue to work with your child at home. Also, as the weather gets warmer and it stays lighter later, students are outside playing a lot more at night. This is GREAT because it helps “sharpen their saw” and gives them lots of exercise; however, they also might be getting less sleep. Less sleep often causes behavior problems at school. Please make sure to talk with your child about their behavior. We want this to be a fun and exciting last 9 weeks of school! 
