INFORMATION ON VERTICAL MOBILITY IN RESPECT OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AFTER +2LEVEL
Eligibility for Grant of Scholarship for +2Vocational Stream pass-outs:
70% Aggregate of Three (3) electives of respective voc stream with minimum 60 marks in English (Core)
As per the existing norms for eligibility,a vocational student would also be similarly required to secure a minimum of 70% of total marks of Vocational Stream subjects i.e. (3) three subjects viz. elective I, elective II & elective III along-with a minimum of60 marks in English to be deemed eligible for entitlement of Scholarship Grant during the course of his/her period of higher education after +2level.
Avenues for higher education of vocational pass-outs after +2level:
The following voc stream-wise areas of opportunities for further education after +2 Exams of vocational students mentioned below have been paved by Vocational Section, HRDD, Govt of Sikkim:-
[1] Apprenticeship Training of One Year Duration for +2vocational pass-outs
+2 Vocational Stream pass-outs would be offered a One Year Apprenticeship Training for which they would be paid a minimum monthly stipend of Rs. 1090/- in various department of Government of Sikkim.
As per the Board of Practical Training (ER), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Kolkata,(BOPT(ER) is the Implementing Board for Apprenticeship Training in Eastern Region of India), the said board’s process of implementation of the Apprenticeship Training has already begun and worked out in consultation with HRDD, Govt of Sikkim. The School-wise details for engagement of apprentices (Vocational) by relevant departments of Govt of Sikkim are as per the details furnished by the said Boardhave already been sent by the said Board to the respective School Principal for their further necessary action.
Soon after the declaration of +2CBSE results on May, 2006 the successful candidates Apprenticeship Training at respective Departments of Govt of Sikkim would be registered, finalized and commenced after necessary execution of contracts, etc.

***NBU has also informed us saying, “A student of 10 + 2 Vocational Stream can be admitted to BA/BSc/BCom (General) courses in terms of Regulation 4 read with Regulation 2 as per the New Regulations of University of North Bengal” vide their letter no 429/Insp-2005 dated 24:08:2005 sent by the Inspector of Colleges, NBU.

[3] AllahabadAgricultural Institute, DeemedUniversity, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh:
The department had communicated with the said University vide our letter no. 361/HRDD/VOC dated 24:04:2006 for the needful.

[In the above context, the department is pursuing needful course of action for relaxation of One Year relaxation to our Voc students so as to permit lateral Admission on 2nd Year of the related diploma course and the matter is under due consideration of Authorities]
