1. Notice from the Southwestern Ontario QDMA re: their Branch Second Annual Spring Banquet.
2. OFAH Zone J February newsletter.
Minutes:
Moved by Larry McDonald, seconded by Peter Wood to accept the minutes as published in the February newsletter. Carried.
Treasurer’s Report:
The 2016 Financial Summary was presented and discussed.
Membership Report:
Single- 89 Family- 50 Life- 1 Junior- 1 Total Membership- 141
Old Business:
1. London Boat Show- Gerry Harvieux has prepared advertising materials for distribution at the show. The club will host a free draw for a wildlife lithograph. Peter Wood has developed a program so that all entries can be completed by phone text.
2. Big Buck Sportsmen’s Show- committee meetings continue. 32 tables have been booked so far. ATV raffle tickets are now available for sale.
3. Cliff Barclay was the $100 winner of the Big Boyz volunteer draw. Over 600 hours of volunteer time were put in during this tournament. Quite an accomplishment!
4. Notice of Motion: Moved by Ken Koehler, seconded by Leo Wybenga that the club spend up to $1000 to purchase a smart TV for the upstairs hall of the Legion for use by both groups. Defeated.
New Business:
1. A club swap meet will be held at our next General Meeting on March 14. Members are invited to bring in hunting, fishing, and outdoor items to sell or trade. Guns must have trigger locks.
Election:
1. The following members were nominated and acclaimed as Directors for a 2017-2020 term of office:
Dale Wiper- (Moved by Larry McDonald, seconded by Don Wigle).
Rob Dietrich- (Peter Wood, J.P. Rondot)
Dennis Reive- (Gerry Harvieux, Leo Wybenga).
2. Jack Szorvas was chosen as the 2016 “Member of the Year”.
Membership Participation Winners- Robert Gagnier, Don Wigle.
Moved by Brad Kirkpatrick, second by J.P. Rondot to adjourn. Carried.
Jack Szorvas was very deservedly chosen as our 2016 Member of the Year. Jack has been a board member for several years and continues to do many behind the scene tasks for the club. Thanks Jack.
Thanks also to Dale Wiper, Rob Dietrich and Dennis Reive for agreeing to serve as Directors for another 3 year term and to President Dan Reive and to Vice President Dennis Reive who will each serve another one year term. (Dan- 4th term; Dennis- 3rd).
